Red House promotes special activities and individual support to students during social isolation
In-person classes add numerous benefits to students’ learning, but the flexibility of online teaching can provide unique experiences that would often not be possible in person.
Taking this into account, Red House prepared a pedagogical project strategically designed for Early Childhood classes and started to offer daily special activities with invited educators. In the first week, students were able to participate in different practices, such as storytelling, musicalization, cooking, and activities that develop psychomotricity and sensory stimulation. The objective is to extend the project throughout the quarantine period, with the participation of international experts.
Another initiative that has caringly supported students is the individual backing offered for elementary classes. As in-person at school, children with learning difficulties can count on exclusive pedagogical support during the quarantine.
Keeping fluency in the English language is also a concern in times of social isolation. Therefore, in addition to videoconference classes and pedagogical activities, students have the possibility to further develop their language skills while playing. Every morning, before the start of remote classes, a teacher run recreational activities with students who want to practice English playfully.
